About Long Hat House

Long Hat House is a Brazilian indie game developer studio started by Lucas Mattos and João Brant, two computer scientists from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. They have been working together since 2014 creating strange, wacky games such as the award-winning mind-bending metroidvania Dandara and the finger-based shooter Magenta Arcade.

The duo has always been drawn to the vast and infinite universe of video games that includes so much of what they truly love: technology, programming, art, music, storytelling, design and entertainment in combination with subjects like psychology, sociology and other challenging angles.

In their projects, they always want to push boundaries and they strive to give gamers new perspectives, twisting the mundane world by changing it into a new angle. Ideally, you’ll be learning video games all over again!

Constant collaborators they have worked together with throughout their journey: Thommaz Kauffmann, a great composer and sound designer; and Victor Leão, master of the pixel art.
