We’ve grown furiously over the last year, and the latest addition to our roster continues that tradition of getting people onboard who possess that heart and positive energy for our corner of the games industry.

Robert Bäckström comes from a long tenure at Stockholm-based development studio Fatshark as one of its original members, and he is credited as producer on a number of titles including the incredibly successful Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide and Warhammer: Vermintide 2. He has seen the humble beginnings of a studio transform into a world-renowned developer, and as we are continuing to grow we need those among our ranks who know the highs and lows of building something from the ground up.

But beyond his clear prowess on the game production side of things, his resolute spirit equally caught our attention. Raw Fury is home to a group of people unafraid to try new things and Robert’s aspirations are punk rock AF. We mean that literally and figuratively as he co-founded punk rock vinyl label Skrammel Records. Anyone producing bands with songs like “Charred After Birth” and “Nuclear Majesty” should definitely be at Raw Fury.

We’re assuming part of this unabashed ambition stems from him being indoctrinated into tabletop RPGs at the age of 6 when his older cousins aided him in running through his first campaign of Drakar och Demoner (Dragons and Demons). And if that wasn’t what triggered his walk down the dark path that eventually lead him to the early days of a healthy EVE Online career dominated by faction warfare and null sec PVP then, well, we’re not sure what else it could be. Wait, could be that one time he had the lead singer of Europe in the passenger seat of his dad’s Volvo? That’s a story for another time.

We’ve been assured that he has toned down a bit. We hope he’s lying.
