GoNNER is Game Number Three for Us!

To quote senator Clay Davis from The Wire: “Shiiiiii”. That’s more or less all we could say when we saw GoNNER  for the first time. We were speechless, then giddy, then thrilled, then a little hungry (because we forgot to eat), and then ultimately flattered when Art in Heart chose to collaborate with us on getting GoNNER from their talented hands to yours (because you’ll certainly need talent to beat this sucker).

This new studio is headed by an amazingly gifted developer named Ditto—the programmer, game designer, and artist behind GoNNER. When we met Ditto at Stugan (a cabin in the woods incubator for indie devs in Sweden) we knew he was on to something. Seriously, have you seen this dude’s work before? Planeter? Hets? It’s all gorgeous. Check out Ditto’s itch.io page, pronto.

Okay, Raw Fury, those were a lot of words that didn’t explain the game…

You know what, you’re right. So, instead of blabbing on about what the game has to offer why don’t we just show you a trailer containing unaltered gameplay footage because, you know, it’s a video game n’ stuff:

Well, isn’t that special. What did I just watch? What is GoNNER?

Below is a short summary on GoNNER ripped straight from the Steam page.

GoNNER is a tough as hell procedurally-generated 2D platformer with roguelike elements, following the largely misunderstood and altruistic Ikk on a journey to cheer up his only friend in this world—a giant landbound whale named Sally—by searching for just the right trinket in the deep and dark places nearby.

Ikk (pronounced “ick”) is a caring creature, a selfless being who only wants to make someone happy. And surely, Ikk will die a ton in the process of finding that happiness, but fear not because Death will be there to pick Ikk up like the good mentor he is.

We’re taking GoNNER (and Ditto!) to GDC, and then all over the place!

If you enjoy games  that are easy to figure out but also exceptionally challenging with replayability galore, put GoNNER on your wishlist and come see us if and when you can! Make sure to watch this space (or subscribe to our email list) to learn about where GoNNER will be and when.

Now, go make someone happy today!  And remember— play rebellious.
